Drinking Problem, Alcohol Problem

Statistics estimate that 1 in 10 people have a serious drinking problem / alcohol problem.

If you "think" you may have a drinking problem / alcohol problem, you may be suffering from a serious ILLNESS.

Ask yourself the following questions:-

  • On a night out, people start to leave when they've had enough to drink, but for you the night
    is just begining.

  • You have a drink before an important event, such as an interview (Dutch Courage).

  • You drink alone at home but don't enjoy it.

  • You drink in secret.

  • You buy drinks at different supermarkets so people won't suspect you are drinking too much.

  • You switch from hard liquor to beer or wine to try and cut down.

  • You drink in the morning.

  • Maybe you have tried to stop drinking and succeeded for a time, but then for no apparent
reason you pick up a drink again and you are soon drinking as much as before?

Did you answer YES to any?

Alcoholism is a recognized illness, although not proven, it is likely that certain people are born alcoholic.
Maybe other members of your family "seem" to drink too much also.

You may have tried possible treatments, medication, hypnosis, relaxation, doing more sports etc..,
you may even have been to a detox/treatment center or rehab clinic.

If you need help to stop drinking, why not give Alcoholics Anonymous a try.

AA is worldwide, you can find them in your local telephone directory.
